Whether this is your first apartment or you’ve perfected the art of community living, here are a few tips to help you at your new home and make your life at South Pointe as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
In the event of a medical emergency, fire, life-threatening situation, or to report a crime in progress, call 911 first.
Dishwasher and laundry pods are highly discouraged because they can damage appliances and harm the environment.
Avoid flushing items like Q-tips, soap bars, diapers, cleansing wipes, etc.
Avoid putting fibrous foods (celery, potato peels, onion skins), grease/fats, starchy foods (rice, pasta), coffee grounds, and hard items (bones, fruit pits) in the garbage disposal.
Keep the bathroom fan on during showers and for 15 minutes after each shower.
Regularly clean your clothes dryer's lint trap.
Change your air filter monthly.
Inform the leasing office if you plan to be out of town.
Don't store anything in the HVAC closet.
Report maintenance issues as soon as they come up.
Always report a running toilet immediately as this can sharply increase a water bill. Turn off the water when not in use until the issue is resolved.
Report chirping smoke detectors to the office. Don't remove the battery.
For safety reasons, we do not allow grills, flamable items, candles, cigarettes without proper extinguishing, or other hazards on the property.
If you use the community grills, make sure to clean up when done and report any empty propane tanks to the office.
Attend the community events.

I live in one of the single family homes and love this neighborhood. Very quiet, conveniently located to all amenities, shopping and only 20 minutes from the beach. The management and maintenance staff are top notch. You just cannot beat the cost for such quality.

I love living at Southpointe. Maintenance is on the ball when you call. The office staff is so friendly. We have monthly entertainment of different types. I feel very safe here and it stays clean. The grass is cut once a week and that is definitely a plus.
